Book a sharpeningFAQ
How does drop-off work?
Book online, then drop your knives at my place in Bozeman. I'll text you when they're ready to pick up.
How long does it take?
Usually 2–3 days. Need them tomorrow? Express next-day is +$10.
How do I pay?
Venmo, at pickup. Easy.
What do you use?
Japanese waterstones, by hand. No grinders, so your steel never overheats and there are no deep gouges.
My knife has a chip. Can you fix it?
Probably. Repairs are +$10–25, and I'll quote you before I touch it.
Serrated or ceramic?
Not right now. Japanese waterstones are made for straight steel edges.
How should I wrap them for drop-off?
A towel or a cardboard sleeve works fine. Your knives come back in a kraft sleeve with a care card.
How often should I get them sharpened?
For most home cooks, every 3–6 months. If tomatoes squish instead of slice, it's time.
Can I borrow a knife while mine's being sharpened?
Yep, while supplies last. Ask for a loaner chef's knife when you book, and I'll check that one's free and have it ready at drop-off. It's free. Just bring it back when you pick yours up.
